What is SEIRS?

SEMA has been proactive in the development of standards in Industry for many years. The SEIRS initiative is a continuation of this business ethic to improve safety standards in an environment where product design, manufacture and installation take place under the influence of increased legislation.

Components of SEIRS

SEIRS is based upon three key components:

  1. An installation Guideline/Code of Practice
  2. Storage Industry – specific safety training courses.
  3. An ID card and registration system.

What is a Safe Contractor?

Safe contractor is the fastest growing health and safety accreditation scheme in the UK, with more than 210 major clients and over 20,000 contractor members.

Registered members with the safe contractor scheme include clients and contractors from a wide range of professional disciplines working within a number of industry sectors.

Health and safety doesn’t just come into force once a project gets to site. Throughout the design phase of all projects, care is taken to ensure that all proposed works can be undertaken in the safest way possible.
